India

India government data showed that the production of white shrimp in India was 497622 tons in 2015/2016, while GSMC in 2016/2017 was estimated at 566 thousand tons, 2017/18 in 697 thousand tons, and 2018/19 in 757 thousand tons, becoming the most important producer of white shrimp. In a short period of 10 years, the culture of white shrimp has increased by 9 times.

Moreover, India white shrimp production growth not only from the traditional Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, new areas of growth is more obvious. India has a vast area of water to breed white shrimp, and perhaps 1 million tons is not the ceiling of its growth.

Ecuador

Ecuador exports 497 thousand tons in 2017, and it is expected to export 531 thousand tons in 2018. Ecuador's aquaculture potential is very large, and its annual output is only 2-2.5 tons / hectare, and that in Thailand is 40 tons. The area of the Ecuador farm is about 200 thousand hectares.

Vietnam's sea defense has been playing a special role in the white shrimp market in China, but the overall impact of this part is still in the industry after the end of 2017. Thailand

Thailand has just recovered from the EMS, with Thailand production 305 thousand tons in 2017, and is expected to be 345 thousand tons in 2018. This is mainly related to the breeding methods in Thailand. Due to the relative shortage of land resources, the breeding area is only 10 thousand hectares, and the output per hectare reaches 40 tons, or even the target is 60 tons. Although this is related to advanced farming technology, the risk of high density breeding is higher.

Mexico

Like Thailand, Mexico is gradually recovering from the EMS, although its officials have never recognized it. According to the industry association's data, by 2017, the output was 140 thousand tons, up from 120 thousand tons in the previous year. It is now recovering to the level of 2009. The aquaculture area has not expanded, but the abandoned farms are gradually recovering. However, for Mexico, more effects may be affected by the overlapping of the control areas of the white shrimp producing area and the drug trafficking group.

China

The group estimates that China's output "touches the bottom" of 525 thousand tons in 2017. But the expert group estimates that by 2018, China's output will increase to 625 thousand tons.

However, the impact of China on the white shrimp market is changing from the influence of the producing country to the consumer country. It can be said that the growth of the global white shrimp industry is mainly due to the growth of China's consumer market. Of course, there are many problems in the middle, such as the delicate relationship between part of the product and Vietnam. But it has a growing influence on the white shrimp market.
